Swinomish Police Chief Tom Schlicker is the current president of NATEOThe mission of Northwest Association of Tribal Enforcement Officers (NATEO) is to more effectively enforce the laws of “Indian Country and Tribal Government,” pertaining to the enforcement of tribal ordinances and resolutions, to exchange information of mutual interest, to establish better training for tribal enforcement officers, and to undertake a more active program of public education.

NATEO meets twice a year at the spring and fall WASPC conferences. See the WASPC website for more information.

The officers of this organization consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer immediate Past President, and one Board member from the west side of Washington and one from the east side of Washington (divided by the Cascades).
